Herbed Pita Crisps
|Olive oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Coarse kosher salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Whole wheat pita bread pockets||5 Large, each cut into eighths (12 Ounce Bag)|
1. Preheat the oven to 450°. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, basil and salt. Add the pita pieces and toss to coat well.
2. On 1 or 2 baking sheets, spread out the pita pieces in a single layer. Bake for 4 minutes. Using tongs, turn the pita pieces over and continue baking for 4 more minutes, until golden and crisp. (The can be made up to 2 days ahead. Let cool, then store in an airtight container. If necessary, recrisp in a 400° oven for 2 minutes.)
