Chiffon Surprise Dessert
|Eggs||8 Small, separated|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned crushed pineapple||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Lemon jello||1 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Melted butter||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Take slightly beaten egg yolks and mix with 1 C.sugar and pineapple.
Cool until thick (about 12 minutes).
Remove from heat and add jello.
Put in refrigerator until cool.
Beat egg whites until stiff and add one scant cup of sugar.
Fold into cooled mixture.
Crush crackers until they are fine crumbs.
Add melted butter to crumbs to form a crust in a pie pan or plate.
Pour mixture over crust.
Return to refrigerator to chill until ready to serve.
