Ingredients
  Pineapples 2 Medium
  Vinegar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sugar 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Whole cloves 2 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon 2 Inch
  Lemon 1 , sliced
Directions

1. Wash the pineapples, cut off the tops, stand upright on a chopping board and remove the peel and eyes by cutting the pineapple slices from top to bottom. Cut into sticks about 3 inches long and 1/2-inch wide. (Or use canned pineapple sticks.)
2. Heat the vinegar in a glass or enamel saucepan with the sugar, cloves, cinnamon and lemon.
3. When syrup is boiling, drop the pineapple sticks into it, cover and simmer about 15 minutes, or until the sticks become transparent.
4. Lift sticks out with a slotted spoon and pack into hot sterile 1/2-pint jars. Pour the boiling syrup over the pineapple. Seal the jars immediately.
