Yellow Rice Pilaf
|Finely chopped onion||5 Tablespoon|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Long grain rice||2 Cup (32 tbs), uncooked|
|Chicken broth||1 Quart|
Add onion to hot butter in a large heavy saucepan; cook until onion is soft.
Add rice gradually to onion in saucepan, stirring constantly.
Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
Mix in chicken broth, salt, and turmeric.
Bring to boiling.
Remove from heat and turn into a lightly greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish; cover.
Bake at 400Â°F 20 to 25 minutes, or until rice is tender.
