Cheese Pilaf

This Cheese Pilaf is an unconventional but truly irresistible member of the pilaf genre ! Include this Cheese Pilaf in your dinner party menu and its going to be an instant hit with your guests! Try it out and tell me if you like it !
Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Onions 2 Medium, chopped
  Beef bouillon cubes 4
  Rice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Buckwheat 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Barley 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Millet 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sharp cheddar cheese 1⁄2 Pound, shredded
  Canned mushrooms packed in liquid 8 Ounce
  Slivered almonds 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Melt the butter or margarine in a skillet or medium saucepan.
Saute the chopped onions over medium heat.
Dissolve the bouillon cubes in hot water, and add to the chopped onions.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Pour into 2quart casserole dish, and cover tightly.
Bake in a 325° F.
Oven for 1 hour or until tender.
Add additional water if necessary.
