Simple Rice Pilaf
|Long grain rice||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (uncooked)|
|Fresh onion/Frozen onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), finely chopped|
|Chicken broth||13 3⁄4 Ounce|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
In a 10-inch skillet cook rice and chopped onion in butter or margarine until rice is golden, stirring often.
Add chicken broth, water, and salt.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer till rice is tender, about 15 minutes.
Fluff up with a fork.
