Rice Pilaf Using Chicken Noodle Soup Mix
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chopped celery||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chicken noodle soup mix||1 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Envelope)|
|Water||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Ground sage||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground thyme||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Long grain white rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Combine butter, onion and celery in 2-quart glass casserole.
Microwave on medium for 5 minutes or until onions and celery are partly cooked.
Stir in remaining ingredients, except rice; mix well.
Cover with glass lid or plastic wrap.
Microwave on high for 5 to 6 minutes or until boiling.
Stir in rice; recover.
Microwave on low for 15-18 minutes or until rice is tender.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
