Pilaf Rice

Ingredients
  Butter 4 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Medium, finely chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Coriander seeds 6
  Cinnamon stick/1.5 teaspoon 1
  Whole cloves/0.5 teaspoon ground cloves 6
  Water/Stock 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)
Directions

Melt butter in frying pan; cook onion and garlic until soft.
Add rice; cook until rice begins to take on color.
Add coriander, cinnamon, and cloves.
Cover with water, with about 1/4 inch water above rice; simmer gently, covered, until done.
If necessary, add a bit of water from time to time to keep rice from sticking.
