Lime Pie is an ordinary sweet pie made using lime filling, with the preparation and ingredients a lot similar to key lime pie, but substituting key lime with Persian lime. The two main ingredients for the lime pie filling are lime juice and grated lime rind, which are blended seamlessly with beaten egg yolks, egg whites, baking powder sugar etc. Lime pie is often made on a baked pie shell with a meringue topping, said to be the best to go with lime flavor. Lime pie when done may be sprinkled with sugar, which sinks into the meringue mix to give a fine taste.
