Coconut Pie

Coconut Pie is a traditional sweet pie variety with coconut-filling, a very popular sweet dish with its variations spread across the international cuisines. Ingredients used and the method of preparation a lot like the coconut cream pie, this variety differs on the ground that it does not use cream. There are quite a number of variations of coconut pie that has been tried and served, of which some of the popular varieties are buko pie, which uses tender coconut filling and macapuno pie, which uses a thick and sticky variety of coconut. Originally evolved in some of the South East Asian countries that have an abundance of coconut cultivation, the coconut pie is originally served as a desert delicacy, often loved for its crunchy flavor.
