Vegan Apple Pie
|Vegetable shortening||4 Tablespoon|
|Pastry||1 Pound (For 2 Crust Pie)|
|Cooking apples||6 Large|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry.
Pare, core, and slice apples; place in pastry lined pie plate.
Combine sugar, flour, and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.
Dot with butter.
Place top crust over apples; cut slits for escape of steam; seal edges
Bake at 400° for 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
