Shaker Sugar Pie
|Unbaked 9 inch pie shell||1|
|Firmly packed light brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cream||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground nutmeg||To Taste (Few Grains)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
Prick pie shell and bake at 450Â°F 5 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 350Â°F.2.
Mix the brown sugar with flour until blended.
Spoon over bottom of partially baked pie shell.
Combine the cream, extract, and nutmeg; pour over sugar in pie shell.
Dot with the butter.
Bake at 350Â°F about 55 minutes, or until crust is lightly browned and filling is set.
