Glazed Strawberry Pie

Ingredients
  Vanilla pudding and pie filling 3 1⁄4 Ounce (3 1/4 Ounce Package)
  Cointreau 1 Tablespoon
  Strawberries 1 Quart
  Water 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cornstarch 3 Tablespoon
  Water 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Red food color 1 Teaspoon
  9 inch pie shell 1 , baked
Directions

Bake pie filling as directed; when lukewarm stir in Cointreau.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Wash, hull and dry berries.
Save 1 cup and put remaining berries, stem end down and close together, on top of filling.
Simmer remaining cup of berries and 2/3 cup water until berries break up, about 3 minutes.
Blend sugar and cornstarch and stir in 1/3 cup water until smooth.
Add to boiling berries and boil, stirring, for 1 minute.
Add a few drops food colouring to make a bright red.
Cool but do not chill.
Pour over berries in pie shell and chill until firm.
