Ingredients
  Birds 6
  Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Parsley 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), minced
  Onion 1⁄2 , chopped
  Whole cloves 2
  Salt pork 1⁄4 Pound, diced
  Flour 2 Tablespoon, browned
  Fat 2 Tablespoon
  Plain pastry 1
  Potatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs), diced and cooked
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 450F degrees
2.Also clean the birds thoroughly and split them into halves

MAKING
3.In a pot, place the bird and cover with water and heat to boiling
4.Now skim the top and add salt, pepper, parsley, onion, cloves and salt pork
5.Keep simmering until tender
6.When done, thicken the liquid with browned flour and let the gravy come to boiling
7.Add fat, remove from fire and cool
8.Line the sides of a greased baking dish with pastry
9.Fill dish with alternate layers of bird and potatoes
10.Pour in gravy and cover with top crust, slashed in center
11.Bake in hot oven for 10 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350F degrees and bake for another 40 minutes

SERVING
12.Serve with a sauce of your choice and with salads
