This Raisin Pie is something sensationally savory you can dish out for those weekend parties or get-togethers. Simple to make with the very basic ingredients, your guests will just love to indulge in the lemon twist that may take them by surprise. So whip it up and let your friends be envy at your culinary skill!
Ingredients
  Corn starch 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Butter 1 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Grated lemon rind 1 Teaspoon
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Plain pastry 1 (1 Recipe)
Directions

In saucepan combine, cornstarch, sugar, and salt, stir in water, and bring to a boil.
Add butter, juice, rind, and raisins blend.
Cool.
Line shallow piepan with Plain Pastry, add filling, and cover with top pastry.
Fasten edges well, slash, and bake in hot oven (425 F.) for 10 minutes.
Reduce to moderate (375 F.) and bake 30 minutes
