Beef Steak And Kidney Pie
|Beef kidneys||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Beef round steak/Chuck steak||1 1⁄2 Pound, well trimmed and cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes|
|Onion||1 , thinly sliced|
|Beef broth||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Prepared pie crust/Biscuit topping||1|
Cook kidney in salted water for 8 minutes; drain and pat dry.
Trim off excess fat and cut kidney into cubes.
Combine kidney, steak and onion in crock pot.
Add beef broth, salt and pepper.
Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours (on high setting for 3 to 4 hours).
Remove contents of crock pot to baking dish; cover with pie crust.
Bake in preheated 400Â° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
