Shoo-Fly Pie

Ingredients
For the crumb part:
  Shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking soda 3⁄4 Tablespoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄8 Tablespoon
  Ginger To Taste
  Cinnamon To Taste
  Cloves To Taste
  Salt 1⁄4 Tablespoon
  Molasses 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Hot water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
Directions

Work the above ingredients together, and then for the liquid part: Mix well together; add hot water.
Into an unbaked pie shell, combine the crumbs and liquid in alternate layers with crumbs on bottom and top.
Bake 15 minutes at 450 F° and then 20 minutes at 350 F°.
