Frozen Apple Ice Milk Pie
|Chocolate wafers||6 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Granny smith apples||2 Large, cored, pared and shredded|
|Green creme de menthe/1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract and green food coloring||2 Tablespoon|
|Vanilla ice milk||3 Pint, softened slightly|
|Granny smith apple||1 , sliced (For Garnish)|
|Chocolate wafer crumbs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Fresh mint leaves||4|
Line bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate with chocolate wafers, cutting cookies where necessary to fill in spaces.
Toss apples with creme de menthe in a large bowl; blend in softened ice milk, mixing well.
Spoon into prepared pie shell; freeze until firm (about 2 hours).
Garnish with apple slices, chocolate wafer crumbs or mint leaves.
