Peppy Pizza Pie
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Pepperoni||2 Ounce, chopped (About 1/3 Cup)|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Oregano leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Mushroom stems and pieces||8 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Sliced pitted ripe olives||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Shredded mozzarella cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Heat oven to 400Â°.
Mix meats, bread crumbs, egg, oregano leaves, salt and half the tomato sauce.
Press mixture evenly against bottom and side of ungreased 10 inch pie pan .
Sprinkle mushrooms and olives in meat lined pan; pour remaining tomato sauce over vegetables.
Bake uncovered 25 minutes.
(The pepperoni gives a red flecked appearance to the meat.) Sprinkle pie with cheese; bake 5 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes, then cut into 6 wedges.
