Classic Custard Pie
|9 inch unbaked pastry shell||1|
|Sweetened condensed milk||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs) (Eagle Brand)|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 425Â°F.
In medium size bowl beat eggs until just blended.
Add sweetened condensed milk, water, salt and vanilla; mix well.
Pour into pastry shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Place on lowest rack of the oven and bake for 10 minutes at 425Â°F.
Reduce heat to 325Â°F. and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a knife inserted in centre comes out clean.
Cool at room temperature.
