Sugarless Apple Pie
|Frozen apple juice concentrate||1 Can (10 oz) (Thawed)|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Golden apples||6 Large, peeled, cored, and sliced 1/4 inch thick|
|9 inch baked pastry shell||1 (1 1/2 Inches Deep, In Glass, Ceramic, Or Plastic Dish)|
|Whipped cream/Ice cream / cheddar cheese slices||1 Tablespoon|
In a 2 quart batter bowl or casserole, stir together apple juice, cornstarch, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; blend well, then stir in apples.
Cut butter into small pieces and dot over apples.
Cover with wax paper.
Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 8 minutes, stirring after 4 minutes.
Uncover and microwave on HIGH (100%) for 8 more minutes, stirring after 4 minutes.
Apple slices should be fork tender.
Let cool, uncovered, for 20 to 30 minutes before spooning into baked pastry shell.
Refrigerate before serving.
