Mother'S Vegetable Pork Pie
Brown 4 pork chops in frying pan.
Remove chops, and pour off surplus fat.
Add 1 cup water to pan.
Parboil 3 cups of sliced raw potato and 2 cup sliced raw turnip in small quantity of water.
Place vegetables in casserole with enough water (in which they were cooked) to almost cover.
Add salt, pepper and gravy from frying pan.
Place chops (seasoned with salt and pepper) on top and bake in moderate oven for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and cover with rich biscuit dough.
