Mix 1 cup sugar, 2 heaping tablespoons each flour and baking cocoa in a saucepan.
Add 1 teaspoon melted butter, 3 egg yolks and 2 cups milk and mix well.
Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
Blend in 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring.
Pour into a baked pie shell, top with a recipe of 3 egg white meringue and bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
