Mock Apple Pie
|Sugar||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Cream of tartar||1 Tablespoon|
|Whole butter crackers||45|
|10 inch baked pie shell||1|
Combine the sugar, water and cream of tartar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and stir in the butter crackers.
Let stand for 10 or 20 minutes.
Fill the pie shell with the cracker mixture.
Dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake at 425 degrees for 35 minutes.
