Fresh Gooseberry Pie

Ingredients
  Gooseberries 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Quick cooking tapioca 3 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pie pastry 400 Gram (For 9 Inch 2 Crust Pie)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Stem, wash, and drain gooseberries.
Crush 1/2 cup of the berries and combine with sugar, tapioca, and salt.
Add the whole berries.
Cook and stir till mixture thickens.
Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry; fill.
Dot with butter.
Adjust top crust.
Bake in very hot oven (450°) 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 350° and bake about 30 minutes longer or till crust is done.
Serve slightly warm.

Nice, but would have been good with the whole receipe, including what type of pastry yoou used doesnt it make the pastry soggy at the bottom by adding a the gooseberries at the start of baking ?
