Cranberry Mince Pie
Cranberry mince pie is a wonderfully flavorful pie made with jellied cranberry sauce and apples. Touched with a spicy mix of ginger and cloves the cranberry mince pie is made a tad crunchy with walnuts and is served warm.
|Sugar||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Seedless raisins||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Chopped california walnuts||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Grated orange peel||1 Tablespoon|
|Grated lemon peel||2 Teaspoon|
|Lemon juice||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Canned jellied cranberry sauce||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), crushed|
|Finely chopped apple||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Pastry for a double crust 9 inch pie||1|
Combine sugar, salt, and spices.
Add remaining filling ingredients; mix well.
Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry; fill.
Top with lattice crust.
Bake at 400Â° about 35 minutes.
