Apple Pie Cake

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), softened
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Hot water 2 Tablespoon
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Peeled and diced apples 3 Cup (48 tbs) (Cooking Apples)
  Chopped pecans 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Rum butter sauce 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Cream butter, gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer.
Add egg; beat until blended.
Combine flour, salt, and cinnamon, mix well.
Add to creamed mixture, beat on low speed of an electric mixer until smooth.
Stir in water and vanilla.
Fold in apples and pecans, spoon into a greased and floured 9-inch pieplate.
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Serve warm or cold with Rum-Butter Sauce and whipped cream, if desired
