Country Pie With Beef Crust
|Canned tomato sauce||4 Ounce|
|Bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Finely chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Ground round beef||1 Pound|
|Finely chopped green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Minute rice||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Tomato sauce||2 Can (20 oz)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Grated cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Combine all the ingredients for the crust; mix well.
Place the mixture in a deep 10 inch pie pan and spread evenly over the pan, building up the edge around the pan to form the crust.
Combine the ingredients for the filling, using only 1/4 cup of the grated cheese.
Mix well and pour into the crust.
Cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 60 minutes.
Remove the foil; sprinkle remaining cheese over the top; return to the oven for 15 to 20 min.
Served with buttered peas, tossed salad and hot garlic bread, makes a meal fit for a king
