Best-Ever Walnut Pie
|Dark corn syrup||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Eggs||4 , lightly beaten|
|Diamond walnuts||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Unbaked pie shell||9 Inch|
|Whipped cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (For Garnish)|
|Packed brown sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
In large bowl, combine syrup, eggs, salt, sugar and vanilla.
Stir briskly until well blended; do not beat because mixture should not become foamy.
Stir in walnuts.
Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell.
Bake in preheated 400Â°F oven 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350Â°F; bake 40 to 50 minutes longer or just until center trembles slightly when pie is gently shaken.
Cool on wire rack.
Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
