Apple Pandowdy is a simple and yummy apple dessert! I served it recently for a party and the guest are still calling up and asking for the recipe! Don’t miss this simple Apple Pandowdy recipe!
Ingredients
  Pastry for double-crust pie 1 (8 Or 9 Inch)
  Apple slices 20 Ounce, drained
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon, melted
  Maple flavored syrup 6 Tablespoon
Directions

Heat oven to 425°.
Prepare pastry.
Mix apple slices and brown sugar.
Fill pastry-lined pie pan with apple mixture; top with butter and 3 tablespoons of the syrup.
Cover with top crust which has slits cut in it; seal and flute.
Bake 15 minutes.
Remove from oven; make crisscross cuts about 1 inch apart through top crust and apples.
Pour remaining syrup on crust.
Cover edge with 2 to 3 inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning.
Bake 25 minutes.
Serve warm and, if you like, with maple-flavored syrup.
