Deep Dish Apple Pie
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Peel and core apples and cut them into eighths.
Arrange in greased baking dish.
Cover apples with a mixture of lemon rind, sugar and nutmeg.
Dot with butter.
Cover with pastry rolled thin in the shape of the baking dish, and press it down well around edges.
Make 3 short slits in the center of the pastry.
Bake as directed.
