WOW... You are back and the video is showing!!! :) And I am loving the sweet moisty feel of the Sweet Potato Pie. And I would like to add, it's so easy too :)By the way, I believe sweet potato is less fattening compared to potatoes right? In fact, is there a way, I can use potatoes for sweet potatoes... Now, will i be spoiling the dish then!

Sweet potatoes 200 grams has 180 calories White potatoes 213 grams has 168 Calories 1/2 cup of butter contains over 800 calories-ouch But the butter is the killer in calories-so leave it off! It is what you put on them that adds calories.Shanti/Mary-Anne

Hi Prezi and Shanti/Mary-Anne! I finally got the videos to play... yea! :-) Thank you both for commenting. I have other sweet potato pie recipes, but they take forever to make using fresh sweet potatoes. This canned version is really simple to make. Tastes like pumpkin pie to me, only richer. :-) You are so right Shanti/Mary-Anne. Calories really start to add up when you add items such as butter... and I love melted butter on my white potatoes. :-( Thank you both again for commenting! Have a beautiful day!

Hi foodpsychologist and ifoodiee! Thank you both for posting! Just a little tip for this recipe... it helps if your butter is melted or at least at room temperature when you add it. It mixes together better. I know what you mean ifoodiee! I'm trying to drop some pounds, but it's so hard with these videos! I always want to eat the props... actually I do eat the props! LOL. Practically every dish I hold up in the last part of the videos becomes my dinner or my dessert! I just got a recipe request for a cheesecake. I've got everything here to make it, but I don't know if I can resist it after I bake it. Oh the temptation! Take care and thank you both again for posting! :-) Hugs!

Hey Shantihhh... I think you guessed the problem right! It may be butter that makes ma dishes fattening. But, well, to do away with it, mmh.. ma mind just don't allow! :) But for my body's sake, i will have to cut down on butter intake, i believe!

melted butter and white potatoes - you made me drool Amy! As rightly said by Shanti/Mary-Anne butter plays a part in addin on to the calorie meter... however, hw can anyone, especially a foodie like me, resist the aroma of melting butter! guess, nthing can substitute to the role of butter.

I totally agree lunalovefood! Melted butter makes my mouth water! I'm getting so hungry! Love it on a baked potato or on fresh mashed potatoes! Wow... I could even go for a hot, homemade, roll with butter right about now! Yummy! Have a beautiful day! ~Amy :-)
