Quick Flaky Pie Crust
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Margarine||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), well-chilled|
|Ice water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Put the flour and salt into the processor bowl.
Cut the margarine into four pieces and put one piece into the bowl.
Process until the mixture is like fine bread-crumbs .
With the machine running, add the water gradually through the feeder tube until a ball of dough forms.
With a knife, divide the ball of dough into four pieces while still in the bowl.
Cut the remaining margarine into tiny pieces and sprinkle between the sections of dough.
Process just long enough to mix in the margarine.
Put on to a well-floured surface and roll out 1-inch thick.
Fold over the top and bottom of the dough and half turn to the right.
Roll out and fold again, and half turn to the right.
Roll out and fold again, and halfturn to the right.
Roll out once more and fold.
Coverand chill for 30 minutes, then roll out and use.
