Delicious apple pie crumble filled with the goodness of sour cream!

Sour cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((250 mL)) | |

Diced apples | 2 Cup (32 tbs) ((about 6 apples)) | |
For the topping | ||
Sugar | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) ((75 mL)) | |
All purpose flour | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) ((75 mL)) | |
Ground cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
Frozen butter | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , cubed ((50 mL)) |
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 425 degree F or 220 degree C.
MAKING
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, and salt.
3. Whisk in the egg, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth. Add apples, and stir to coat.
4. Pour the mixture into a 9" unbaked pie shell.
5. Pop in oven and bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degree F(175 degree C), continue baking for another 30 minutes.
For Topping
6. In a food processor, pulse together flour, sugar, cinnamon, and butter until the mixture resembles fine crumb.
FINALIZING
7. After the 30 minute, pull the pie from the oven and evenly spread the crumb topping over it. Place it back in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until topping is lightly browned and apples are tender.
8. Allow the pie to cool, then refrigerate before serving.
