Little Meat Pies
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Tablespoon|
|Shortening||4 Tablespoon (scant)|
|Hard boiled eggs||2|
|Raisins||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Ground beef||1⁄2 Pound|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Tomato paste||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground beef||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine flour, 1 teaspoon salt and baking powder.
Cut shortening into dry ingredients; add egg yolks and enough water to moisten.
Roll out 1/8 inch thick; cut into 3-inch circles.
Saute beef, onion, garlic and pepper in fat until beef is tender.
Cool; add eggs, raisins and tomato paste.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Spoon small amount of beef mixture onto each pastry half; fold over.
Crimp edges with fork.
Fry in deep fat until brown.
