Deep-Dish Pear Pie
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Cheddar cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), grated|
Sift flour and salt together; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Mix in cheese; stir in 1 tablespoon water at a time until pastry holds together.
Chill in refrigerator until ready to use.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Put cooked pear mixture into greased pan and roll pastry in circle and put it over the pan sealing the edges. Bake for 15 minutes, let it cool and serve as desired.
