Glazed Strawberry Pie
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cornstarch||2 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Red food coloring||8 Drop|
|Baked pie shell||9 Inch|
|Whipped cream||1 Tablespoon|
Combine 1 cup strawberries with 3/4 cup sugar and 1 cup water; place over heat.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat; mash with spoon.
Add cornstarch, remaining sugar and salt, stirring well.
Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Add food coloring; cool.
Place remaining strawberries in pie shell; pour in strawberry glaze.
Serve with whipped cream.
