Baked Fruit Pies

Ingredients
  Dried fruit/2 cups mixed fruit 6 Ounce (1 Package)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  All-purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Cold water 5 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon, melted
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Start by preheating the oven to 400° F

MAKING
2. In a saucepan, combine first 2 ingredients and boil with water for 60 minutes
2. Now combine next 2 ingredients
3. And now sprinkle cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, evenly over surface, then stir with a fork until all dry ingredients are moistened, and later shape the ingredients into a ball
4. On a 1/8 -inch thickness on a lightly floured surface, place the pastry and divide in half, and roll each portion, also make sure to cut into 5-inch circles
5. On the pastry circle, place about 2 tablespoons fruit mixture on half of each
6. To seal pies, dip fingers in water, and moisten edges of circles; fold in half, edges should be even
7. Dip fork in flour and press pastry edges firmly together
8. On a baking sheet, place the pies
9. Finally bake the pies at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes

SERVING
10. Serve with a scoop of ice cream
