Old Fashioned Pecan Pie

Ingredients
  9 inch unbaked whole wheat pie crust 1
  Maple syrup 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Barley malt syrup 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 4 , beaten
  Whole wheat flour 1 Tablespoon
  Carob powder 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pecans 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F

MAKING
2. Take a food processor, and beat all ingredients together, then stir in the pecan and pour pie filling into crust
3. Now place pie on a cookie sheet and bake for 60 minutes till pie is firm and browned
4. Also pecan will rise on top of pie when it is completely baked. Remove pie from oven and let it cool on a wire rack.

SERVING
5. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream

TIPS
The cookie sheet helps to make cleaning up more easier, as it catches the drippings after the baking period
