Hamburger Pot Pie

Ingredients
Crisco pastry for 2-crust pie - 1 recipe
Onion salt - 1 teaspoon
Crisco - 1 tablespoon
Ground beef - 1 pound
Onion - 1/2 cup chopped
Green beans - 1 can (16 ounces)
or
Frozen green beans - 2 cups, thawed
Condensed tomato soup - 1 can (10 ounces)
Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Dried oregano - 1/8 teaspoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Prepare the pastry as stated according to the manufacturer's instructions. Reduce the salt content and use one teaspoon onion salt as a substitute
2. Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry and prick all over
3. Preheat the oven to 400°

MAKING
4. In a large skillet, heat the Crisco
5. Add the ground beef and the onions and cook till tender
6. Add the green beans, soup and the seasonings to the meat and mix well
7. Pour this mixture into the pastry shell and place the top pastry cover over the meat. Poke slits into the opening to allow steam to escape.
8. Seal and flute the edge and bake for 24 minutes till done.

SERVING
9. Serve hot
