This Deep South Pie 1 Deep South Pie is a wonderful dessert treat which has been a favorite for generations! Here's a simple and quick recipe for you to follow to make your own homamade Deep South Pie 1 Deep South Pie without any flaw!
  Cooked rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Molasses 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Unbaked pie shell 1
  Pecans 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cooked rice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)

Cook rice until very soft (at least twice as .long as customary J.
Drain and mash with a fork.
Melt butter in a large saucepan.
Stir in molasses, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla and rice and pour into pie shell.
Sprinkle pecans evenly over the top.
Bake in a mod- erate oven (375° F) 50 minutes.
Cool before serving.
Makes one 9-inch pie.
