  9 inch unbaked pastry shell 1
  Eggs 2
  Mashed cooked pumpkin 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Pumpkin pie spice 1 Tablespoon
  Arrowroot 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1 Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry.
2 Preheat the oven to 450┬░Fahrenheit.

MAKING
3 In a bowl, beat eggs until light and fluffy.
4 Blend in pumpkin.
5 In a bowl, mix sugar, pumpkin pie spice, arrowroot and salt.
6 Combine with the pumpkin mixture, mixing thoroughly.
7 Slowly pour in milk.
8 You can also use part light cream or half and half , it makes a richer filling.
9 Into the pastry shell, pour the prepared mixture.
10 Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
11 Lower the temperature to 350┬░Fahrenheit and continue baking for 40 minutes or until silver knife inserted in center comes out clean.

SERVING
12 Can be served plain or topped with whipped cream.
