Pork and Potato Pie
|Cooked ham roll pieces||1 1⁄2 Pound (Fresh)|
|Canned apple slices||10 Ounce (1 Can, 1 Pound 4 Ounce)|
|Cracker meal||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dried sage leaves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Butter||4 Tablespoon (1/2 Stick)|
|Canned chicken broth||13 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Can, Undiluted)|
|Instant mashed potato||4 Cup (64 tbs) (For 8 Servings)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1 Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2 Cut ham roll into 1/2-inch cubes.
3 In an 8-inch round baking dish, place the ham cubes.
4 Stir in undrained apples, cracker meal, sage, salt and pepper.
5 Dot topwith 3 tablespoons butter.
6 Pour in 3/4 cup chicken broth.
7 Using foil, cover the baking dish; bake for 15 minutes.
8 Meanwhile, as per package instructons, prepare mashed potato, substituting remaining 1 cup chicken broth for 1 cup water.
9 Remove foil from baking dish.
10 Spoon potato over the meat mixture, swirling top.
11 Dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
12 Broil, 3 inches from heat, just until potato is golden-brown for about 5 to 7 minutes.
13 Serve at once.
