Schnitz Apple Pie

Ingredients
  10 inch pie shell 1 (Unbaked, Unpricked)
  Cooking apples 6 Medium (Yellow Transparents In August, Wealthies And Duchess In September, Courtlands In October, Greenings And Spies In November)
  Thick cream 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), sweet / freshly soured
  Firmly packed brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cut each apple into 6 pieces.
Peel and core each section.
Arrange attractively in 1 layer in the pie shell.
Sprinkle on the cream, followed by the brown sugar, the butter cut in little pieces, the flour, and the cinnamon.
Bake 15 minutes at 450 degrees.
Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking 30-40 minutes or until the apples are tender and the crust is nicely browned.
