Ingredients
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , separated
  Cream 2 Tablespoon
  Raw grated carrot 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Unbaked pie crust 1
Directions

Combine milk, 1/2 cup sugar, egg yolks, carrot, vanilla & salt; mix & beat well.
Pour into pie crust & bake like custard in a moderate oven.
Make meringue of egg whites beaten stiff with 2 tablespoons sugar.
Top pie with meringue & brown slightly in oven.
