Baked Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients
  9 inch pie shell 1
  Granulated sugar 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1 Pinch
  Canned pumpkin 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Skim milk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), evaporated
  Orange rind 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Egg whites 3 , slightly beaten
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 450°F.

MAKING
2) In a bowl, add the sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves, and then stir in the pumpkin.
3) Gradually add the vanilla, evaporated milk, orange rind and egg whites.
4) With an electric mixer, beat this mixture until smooth.
5) Into the unbaked pie shell, pour over this mix.
6) Bake for 10 minutes at 450°F.
7) Now, reduce the heat to 325°F and bake until a knife spoon inserted in the filling comes out clean, for about 45 minutes.

SERVING
8) Serve with a scoop of ice cream.
