Chili Beef Pie
|Round steak||7 Pound|
|Chopped onions||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chili powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Shredded carrots||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Catsup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Drained kidney beans||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Saute steak and onions in margarine in large skillet until steak loses red color.
Add chili powder, cumin, carrots, salt, pepper, sugar and catsup.
Simmer for 20 minutes.
Add kidney beans.
Pour into prepared pie crust.
Top with pastry.
Seal; crimp edges.
Cut slits in top; brush with milk.
Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
Let stand several minutes before serving.
