Chocolate Cream Pie
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Milk||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Vanilla||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Pie shell||1 Inch|
Shave chocolate into strips.
Mix sugar, cornstarch, chocolate and salt in saucepan; stir in milk gradually.
Cook over medium heat; stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
Boil for 1 minute; remove from heat.
Stir half the hot mixture into egg yolks; blend egg yolk mixture into hot mix- ture remaining in saucepan.
Boil for 1 minute longer, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Blend in but- ter and vanilla; pour immediately into pie shell.
Chill for 2 hours.
Garnish with whipped cream.
