Steak And Kidney Pie
|Stewing beef||1 1⁄2 Pound, diced|
|Kidney||6 Ounce, sliced|
|Mushrooms||1⁄2 Pound, sliced|
|Onion||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|Parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), minced|
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Self rising flour||3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. Preheat the oven.
2. Place beef, kidney, mushrooms, onion, parsley, bay leaf and salt in baking dish; add 2 cups water.
3. Cut butter into flour until of cornmeal consistency. Add milk; mix to form soft dough. Roll dough to about 1/8-inch thickness on floured surface.
4. Place on top of beef mixture, sealing edges. Slash dough several times. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
5. Serve hot
