Baked Key Lime Pie

Ingredients
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cold water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Hot water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Lime juice 6 Tablespoon
  Eggs 3 , separated
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Lime rind 1 Tablespoon, grated
  9 inch pie shell 1 , baked
  Sugar 6 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Lime slices 2 (For Garnish)
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat slow oven (300°F.)

MAKING
2) In a saucepan mix thoroughly first 4 ingredients.
3) Mix hot water and cook over low heat, stir well till thick.
4) Mix fresh lime juice.
5) Place over heat and cook till thick.
6) With a beater beat egg yolks lightly.
7) Add small amount of hot mixture and beat again.
8) Stir constantly and cook for 2 minutes.
9) Add butter and lime rind. Keep aside to cool.
10) Transfer into individual cold pastry shell.
11) In a bowl, beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
12) Add remaining sugar and salt and beat till blended.
13) Spread on the top of pie.
14) Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes.

SERVING
15) Serve cold decorated with fresh lime slices.
